Bristol German Christmas Market

A Sunday afternoon I arranged to meet up my Bristolian friend Jenna and at the same time to go and wander around the Bristol German Christmas Market. Its about 45 minutes drive from Cheltenham to Cabot Circus where I decided to parked my car, and its centrally located and just a walking distance to the Christmas Market.

As soon as we arrived in Bristol we head off to the Market where we arranged to meet up. We
Stroll along the traditional German Chalets lovely decorated with blinking colourful lights, theres lots of Christmas nativity decor and gift ideas, lots of german bars and stalls including the infamous gluhwein, bratwurst, waffles, the heart shaped gingerbread and more, that completes the festive atmosphere in the heart of Bristol city’s shopping area.

Dont forget to stop and have a drink either a german beer, mulled wine or hot chocolate with baileys ( my favourite )at the biggest German Bar with the festvity carousel. There’s a man playing live Bavarian music and dance along with it. This completes the atmosphere of german festivity, kids dancing along with each and every german song played and even adults dancing too, and me swaying on my seat.

The temperature slightly dropped and getting cold for an outdoor activity, so we decided to go for a Japanese meal.

The night ended with full up belly and a good time spent with good friends.

  1. This year will actually be my first spent in the Northern hemisphere – would you believe that I had never heard of a christmas market? Your pics look amazing, I’m looking forward to checking out a few for myself this Christmas.

  2. Those Christmas ornaments look amazing and certainly would provide very interesting Christmas stories when guests ask you where you got them from.
