Heres a photo essay from Lloret to Barcelona. Enjoy the gastronomic indulgence! Come and explore with me and experience the Spanish luxurious hospitality.

Lloret de Mar

The journey of luxury started when I checked in to my hotel in Lloret de Mar. I stayed in Hotel Astoria a 4-star hotel. From hotel service and staff, my expectations were kept up. With complimentary wifi-good signal too, completed with a rooftop pool and jacuzzi its such a perfect relaxing home for 5 nights. Centrally located, it’s only 5 minutes walk to the beach, shops and restaurants.

Evenia hotel
Its the host for the Travel blog conference. Its a compound resort, but mainly all activities are held at the Olympic Suites building. You can easily get loss in the building, when your going to attend the different talks/ presentation and networking. Right, skip all the interior design. Let’s talk about lunch time! There are two big restaurant serving buffet lunch, but we have been told they both served thesame food. From salad to hot food and lots of desserts. Oh did I mention seafood? Oh yeah this place is a seafood haven. I love it!

Sa Boadella Restaurant
After a full day activity of Nordic walking, Segway and Kayaking along the coastal area. We had a wonderful lunch here. A beach cove restaurant and there’s also known nudist beach area nearby.

Barcelona

It felt like I did a tapas food tour around the hotels and restaurants around Barcelona. Not just any kind of hotels, most of the host hotels are 4+ star. It’s definitely a different way to enjoy Barcelona! Tapas….. tapas…. everywhere!

Melia Hotel The Place Restaurant
After the tour around this recently opened hotel. Highlights of the visit the sky bar soon to be opened. We were catered for a quick lunch. Tapas and drinks was flowing!

W Hotel Barcelona
We visited this American chain hotel and as usual we were shown around. Imagine walking to a $20,000 room per night. Yes its like walking to a bachelor’s pad with a beautiful view. Wish one day I’ll checked in to this hotel! To top it up there’s also a rooftop bar. We had early dinner at The Salt restaurant it’s also a part of the hotel with a beautiful seaview and a cocktail perfect combination!

Barcelo Sants Hotel
We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Our home based while exploring Barcelona. Its a perfect location and is very convenient for public transport, just above the metro, train and bus station. This unusual hotel with an airport-like setting of the front desk and coordinated with outer space inspired interior deco.

Avenida Palace
The glamorous luxury on the décor throughout. Completes with a rooftop pool, lounging area and 365 degrees beautiful views of the city. Plus the view of the most iconic building Sagrada Familia.

  1. Well I’m now officially hungry! Spanish food is THE best, and I’ll never forget my first paella in Barcelona nearly 20 years ago. Looks like a fab trip and you clearly had some amazing experiences!

  2. Did you attend the travel blogger convention? You mentioned it in the middle of your post, but then didn’t say anything about the convention itself… How did it go? Or maybe you weren’t there during the convention?

  4. Your article made me hungry! Spanish food tops the list of my favorite international dishes! I could eat tapas all day long. The bike tour in Barcelona followed by a visit to the brewery sounds like a perfect day. I’m adding it to my itinerary for the next time I’m in Barcelona!

  6. This is embarassing…I have read and heard so much about Barca for ages now and Ryanair and Easyjet do cheap tickets but I still havent been. If the pictures of the food above dont do it then I dont know what will but clearly I am missing out on a lot it seems.
